KNG Health has assisted clients representing different types of healthcare facilities on episode definitions, risk adjustment methods, and claims analysis to facilitate implementation of bundled payment models and to assess their potential impact. For two clients, we analyzed claims data and assisted with the determination whether to apply for Medicare’s Bundled Payment for Care Improvement (BPCI) initiative. Moreover, we assessed the areas for greatest potential cost savings and estimated reductions in hospital readmissions (and other services) needed to meet target prices.
