KNG Health received a grant to track and report on the payment and delivery reform provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The goal of the project was to inform The Commonwealth Fund and the public about ACA payment reform provisions with respect to: implementation status, program and regulatory changes, successes and challenges in achieving its desired outcomes, and provider, patient, and expert perspectives. The provisions studied pertained to system improvement provisions in regards to payment modifications and payment pilot programs initiatives by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation Center. KNG Health tracked the following provisions: Hospital Value-Based Purchasing Program, Physician Value-Based Modifier, Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program, Primary Care 10% Medicare Bonus, Hospital Acquired Conditions Medicare Shared Savings Program, Advance Payment ACOs, Pioneer ACOs, Bundled Payments for Care Initiatives, and Medicare Acute Care Episode Demonstration.
